Peaches, ‘Live’ In Singapore, 28 April 2010 (Wednesday)

Kudos to Home Club and whoever John Robinson is, for bringing in the electrotrash, sexually explosive Peaches into Singapore. Am I seeing things or what – Peaches to be performing in Singapore? It sounds so bizarrely illegal that it is impossibly legal.

Home Club is one of the clubs to be at if one wants in on the latest in the music scene, be it on an international scale or the local scene. It has brought various artistes such as Lovefoxxx from CSS, The Futureheads, local bands such as TypeWriter, Midnight Marvel; and Kele Okereke from Bloc Party just to name a few.

Well known for her explicit lyrical content and ‘live’ performances – with tracks such as “Slippery Dick”, “Fuck The Pain Away”; telling an Australian audience to have sex during her act; and music videos with themes of girl-on-girl, pubic hair growth on women, balloon sex etc – Peaches sure is no stranger to controversy and definitely puts Lady Gaga to one big hole of a shame, no WWE battle required.

I sincerely hope that she will not be toning down her explosiveness when she gets to perform here at Zirca Club on the 28th of April, or that will really defeat the purpose of having her here – to be weighed down by strict local authorities, rules & regulations. Fuck them.

Tickets are at SGD45 right now, and selling at the door on the actual day of event itself at SGD55.

Doors open at 1900 hours (a little early for an event like this), and it will be a 2-hour event, with a 15-minute intermission.

One has to be 18 and above to be able to attend this concert.

It is also proudly brought to one by Heineken.

“Never go to bed without a piece of raw meat”

“The boys wanna be her, the girls wanna be her”

“Cause I wanna take you downtown, show you my thing”
